Low Calorie Holiday Cocktails

It's that time of the year again ... the holidays are approaching and if you are like me you are afraid of gaining that extra holiday five pounds (who am I kidding, ten pounds after the Thanksgiving meal I ate hehe).

That's why I was so excited to see delicious, inventive low calorie cocktail recipes as I was browsing Shape Magazine.  Below I chose three of my favorite recipes that I thought sound both delicious and festive.  Hope you enjoy my picks!

Crimson Crush

Ingredients

1.) 1.5oz Belvedere RED

2.) 0.5oz St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur

3.) 3 bar spoons of pomegranate seeds

4.) 4 chunks pink grapefruit

Directions: 

1.) Muddle pomegranate seeds and grapefruit with elderflower liqueur. 

2.) Add Belvedere and top with crushed ice. 

3.) Churn. 

Candy Cane Martini

 Ingredients

1.) 1 part Skinnygirl Bare Naked Vodka

2.) 1 part Peppermint Schnapps

3.) 1 part fat-free sweetened condensed milk

4.) 1 mini candy cane for garnish

Directions: 

1.) Shake liquids with ice in a cocktail shaker. 

2.) Strain into a martini glass.

3.) Garnish with mini candy cane.

The French Apple

Ingredients

1.) 0.5oz Hennessy V.S

2.) 0.5oz Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka

3.) 1oz apple cider

4.) 2 dashes of angostura bitters

5.) Fresh grated cinnamon

Directions: 

1.) Add all liquids to a glass with ice.

2.)  Stir until well chilled. 

3.) Top with grated cinnamon and an apple fan.
