Perfect Moment Monday

Sometimes the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people
-Unknown

This past weekend I found myself surrounding the television watching a comedy movie with my entire family.  It is so rare these days that we all are in one place at one time - distance and time have just taken us in different directions and locations.  I remember pausing for a moment during a scene in the film, remember taking the moment in fully - the cackle to my brother's laugh, my mom's soft voice as she misinterpreted the scene's joke, my father's furrowing eyebrows as he chuckled to himself.  Such an ordinary moment, nothing unusual or remarkable about that instant in time - yet like the quote above says "sometimes the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people."

That's such an appropriate quote, Samara.

How wonderful that you got to do something fun with people you love.

Welcome to Perfect Moment Monday! I hope you "meet" some new friends who are also mindful as you visit some of the other linkies.

Cheers!

Thank you for sharing the simple, but truly perfect moment in your life with your family. It sounds like you had a lot of fun. Now I am curious what movie you watched, not that it matters.

That is a great/fitting quote.

Thanks so much for both of your comments.

Lavender - I hope I get to meet some new friends too :)

Kathy - family time was definitely great, and the movie we were watching was Old School hehe

Here from Perfect Moment Monday! I do like that quote, and my family's the same. We treasure the mundane that's made special just by us all being together.

I love these unexpected "perfect Moments". My Dad is gone and I can still hear his chuckle. Wonderful that you "took it all in." And yes, what was the movie?
