I have really gotten into the Olympic spirit since the opening games this past Friday night. I really love what the Olympic games are all about - bringing countries together for two weeks in the spirit of athletics and camaraderie. If you enjoy a myriad of sports, there is just nothing better than the Olympics.
So to keep with this Olympic theme, I thought what better than to showcase some of my favorite outfits from the games opening ceremony.

USA
While I found the USA's outfits a bit on the conservative (stuffy) side (forget about the Ralph Lauren controversy with making the clothing in China), I did feel like the athletes looked preppy chic. The beret was a bit over the top, but the women's combination of the crisp white skirt and navy blazer combined with oxford shoes and bobby socks have really nice lines and are good starting points to an outfit.
Below is my interpretation of the USA's outfit for going out in real life. It is a less conservative take, more fun and flirty - but still in line with the color scheme and structure (hope you like it!):
1.) TopShop Peter Pan Collar Shirt, 2.) TopShop Ponte Rolled Sleeve Blazer, 3.) GAP Tiered Peasant Skirt, 4.) Zara Crochet Peter Pan Collar Blouse, 5.) Urban Outfitters Cooperative Two-Tone Brogue Skimmer, 6.) Free People Border Americana Scarf, 7.) theLOVEstitch Caroline Crochet Cloche Hat, 8.) Forever21 Sequined Beret
What did you think about the Olympic's fashion?
