photos of Wisteria Tunnel in Japan via Jeanine Jeanine
This week has started off a little stressful for me. Different things in my life have been causing me a bit of anxiety and some of them have come to ahead this week. I just hate feeling anxious, hate feeling worried, or overwhelmed. In times like these I try to take my mind off my concerns and place in upon things that I find motivating, inspirational, or compelling.
I stumbled upon these photos of the Wisteria Tunnel in Japan a couple of weeks ago. Located in the Kawachi Fuji Gardens in Kitakyushu, Japan - the fugi matsuri or "wisteria festival" occurs from April to May when the wisteria bloom. I remember my initial reaction to viewing these photographs - I found them so invigorating yet so peaceful. They so wonderfully capture the beauty of the tunnel, yet provide an ethereal, fairytale, painted quality to the location.
Finding these photos so serene, I enjoy viewing them when I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. They make me want to take a vacation to Japan and go experience Wisteria Tunnel in full bloom - go to the fugi matsuri festival and experience the tranquility of the space first hand. And having a goal to strive for is not a bad way to take the mind off its trouble and bring about new momentum.
