Give Away From Keep It Sweet Desserts

I am always curious and inspired by entrepenurs - people who have the ingenuity and drive to take an idea  or passion and put it into action.  I constantly flip through resources like Entrepreneur Magazine and Inc.com, reading interesting stories about the various steps different people have taken in the pursuit of starting their own business or company.  It is definitely motivating to hear about entrepreneurs' processes and accomplishments - providing me with encouragement that one day I too will be able to be my own boss and dedicate my life to a passion project.

That is why I was so excited when this past weekend I got a lovely package of cookie goodness in the mail from my friend Lauren at Keep It Sweet Desserts, a brand new mail order dessert company.  Lauren and I have been good friends for many years now, but let me tell you there is no bias here - her cookies are the real deal!  But more than just creating some outstanding cookies, what impresses me so much about Lauren is that she had this ambition to create Keep It Sweet Desserts and took the initiative to actually make it happen.  Coming from a banking and finance background, Lauren realized that while she was good at her job, her real love was baking.  Sometimes what we are good at is not necessarily the answer for us in life, and astutely recognizing that, Lauren made the difficult decision to quit her job and start her own baking business.    

That takes real guts my friends - to recognize your purpose and more importantly to actually go after it - and I am beyond inspired by her decision! 

But now onto the cookies hehe .....

The packaging of the cookies was so cute! And then I discovered that I was sent FOUR different cookie flavors ... man were those cookies going to go fast hehe!

The four types of cookies that I was sent were: 1.) Chocolate Chip Cookie with Mocha Ganache, 2.) White Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal Cookie, 3.) Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie, and 4.) Peanut Butter Cup Stuffed Triple Chocolate Cookies (it's even better than it sounds!). 

All of the cookies were absolutely delicious, had a flawless texture, and were perfectly moist - my favorite cookie probably being the Chocolate Chip Cookie with the Mocha Ganache (perfect for the chocoholic)!
